Terms of Service for r5i.support
Last Updated: October 8, 2025
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the r5i.support website or engaging our residential or small-business IT and tech support services (remote support, on-site visits, repairs, consulting, system administration, and cybersecurity assistance). By requesting services or using our site you agree to these Terms.
Scope of Services
We offer troubleshooting, hardware repair, software installation, basic system administration, network setup and troubleshooting, cybersecurity recommendations, and data backup/recovery services. Specific deliverables and estimates will be provided in job confirmations, quotes, or invoices. We do not provide legal, medical, or high-assurance security auditing services unless explicitly contracted in writing.
Estimates, Quotes, and Acceptance
Estimates or quotes provided are based on the information available at the time. Additional faults discovered during diagnostics may change the final cost. Work will proceed only after you authorize the work or accept the provided quote. Emergency or after-hours services may incur additional fees.
Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments may be scheduled online, by phone, or email. A non-refundable service call fee may apply for on-site visits. Cancellations should be made 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to technician availability or safety concerns.
Payment and Taxes
Payment is due at service completion unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Accepted payment methods will be listed on invoices. You are responsible for any applicable sales or use taxes, duties, and fees.
Client Responsibilities
- Backups: Back up important data before service. While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee against data loss during repair or maintenance.
- Authorization: You confirm you are authorized to permit work on the devices and accounts presented for service.
- Accurate Information: Provide full and accurate information about the issues and device history.
Service Work and Device Handling
Devices left with us will be handled with reasonable care. We may create temporary backups or images to perform repairs; these will be deleted after service unless you request retention. We will notify you if we find evidence of software piracy, illegal content, or other issues requiring legal disclosure.
Warranties and Returns
We offer limited warranties for repairs and replacement parts, typically 30 days on labor and parts unless otherwise stated in writing. Warranties do not cover issues arising from physical damage, liquid damage, misuse, or subsequent tampering. For third-party parts, manufacturer warranties apply.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, r5i.support and its technicians will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, lost profits, or interruption of business. Our maximum aggregate liability for direct damages arising from our services will not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless r5i.support, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms or your negligence.
Intellectual Property
All content on the website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is our property or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our consent.
Privacy and Data Handling
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and handle personal and device data. By using our services you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure described in that policy.
Third-Party Services
Our services leverage third-party infrastructure for delivery and security, including Cloudflare (for website hosting, DNS, and security challenges via Turnstile) and Google Workspace (for scheduling and email). By using our site, you acknowledge that certain interaction data (e.g., successful Turnstile verification) is processed by these providers to enable the requested service.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
